The primary birth flower for September is the aster and the secondary flower is the morning glory. Aster is known as frost flowers or starworts. These flowers come in many colors but are most commonly found in white, lilac, pink, mauve, or red. Morning Glory flower petals are usually open in the morning. They start to fade a few hours before the Corolla begins to display visible curling. There are also some morning glories that are night-blooming flowers such as Ipomoea alba, Ipomoea macrorhiza, and Ipomoea muricata.
