4. Cherry Trees
A cherry is the fruit of many plants of the genus Prunus and is a fleshy drupe (stone fruit). Cherries are small, round fruits that can be sweet or sour. Cherries grow on stems that hang from tree branches. The fruit is dark red, about half an inch to a full inch, and matures in early to mid-summer. Plant cherry trees in a sunny site with good air circulation avoid planting near larger trees or buildings that will shade the cherries. Cherry trees should get at least six hours of sunlight every day.
